our ministers

  • rob mccord

    senior minister

    Tw  Fb  www

The most important thing I can tell you about myself is that in the middle of my senior year of high school I was confronted with the fact that my belief in Jesus was not translating into anything resembling conviction, devotion, or obedience. I fully turned to Christ that night and haven’t looked back. Everything good I’ve experienced since, I credit to that decision to completely, intentionally (and however imperfectly) follow Jesus.

My education includes earning a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership from Grace Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Regent University School of Divinity.

I'm grateful for the privilege of being the Senior Minister of Outlook Christian Church. It's a true blessing to serve and share God’s Word with these amazing people.

  • Kait Mangano

    connection + Care Minister

I love getting to be involved in God's work serving and equipping His people. at Outlook!

We are never done maturing as believers. And it is my conviction that our continual transformation to be like Christ requires transparency in a community of believers. If that’s true, it’s no secret why I love working in Connections. I want to help people along the path to connect with God and with one another.

My husband, Jonathan, and I met at Lincoln Christian University where I studied Missions and Spiritual Formation. Together, we enjoy cultivating a hospitable home and adventuring with our corgi.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, helping with mens' ministries, studying God's Word, reading, and golfing. I'm also an avid lover of chocolate.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to be employed at Outlook because "when you're doing the Lord's work, it doesn't feel like work at all."

  • josh weber

    worship arts minister

Growing up as a preacher’s kid in Illinois, I vowed I would never become a minister, but God changed the course of my life. I'm forever thankful for my calling to Worship Arts Ministry. I believe that worship is a privileged response to the glory of God, and at Outlook, we are continually striving to be a worshipping community, loving God and loving each other.

I have been married to my amazing wife, Krista, since 2004. We have been blessed with three boys: Caden, Mason, and Grant. As for education, I graduated from Lincoln Christian University with a B.A. in Family Life (2003) and an M.A. in Worship Studies (2006).

I love serving at Outlook and am constantly reminded of God’s grace and provision for our lives. It's my joy and privilege to be part of such an amazing church family, and I look forward to the journey that God has in store for us.

I have earned an M.A. in Ministry from Lincoln Christian University.

  • mitch young

    Nextgen minister

Growing up on the other side of Indy, I was incredibly blessed to live in a home with two parents and two older siblings who loved Christ uniquely and passionately in all they did. I accepted Jesus Christ as a fire insurance policy when I was 4 years old because I didn't want to experience hell. I later rededicated my life to Him at 12 years old when I realized how much he wished to have a deep relationship with me, despite my failures and imperfections.

While receiving a BA in Psychology from Taylor Universty and a MA in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, I assumed that ministry was supposed to take place through professional counseling in homes or in the office setting. God however had other plans as He orchestrated my transition from volunteering along with my wife to pursuing full-time youth ministry. My passion is to help students know Jesus Christ by coming along side them and their families as they wrestle with the unavoidable joys, questions, and sorrows of their spiritual walk.

When I wake up every morning and look in the mirror, I am reminded how blessed I am to be married to my best friend, Kristen. Together, we are blessed, entertained, and stretched by our three children: Elianna, Jameson, and Bennett.

  • Ashley Benson

    NextGen Nursery Ministry Assistant

I joined Outlook with my family in 2015 and soon started serving in the nursery as a volunteer, before joining the staff in 2019. I love spending time with my husband, Dan, and our kids: Samantha, Mackenzie, Daniel, and Cynthia.

I can't live without coffee or Jesus! I am passionate about serving babies and families as a way to show God's love.

  • AMY Christman

    NextGen Children's Director

I grew up in northwest Ohio, the daughter of a pastor and a piano teacher. I made great memories at church camp, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and mission trips. But most importantly, I fell in love with Jesus. Being part of an active church family has always been a big part of my life. And along the way, I realized God was equipping me and calling me to full-time children's ministry.

I have a B.A. in Youth and Educational Ministries from Malone University in Canton, OH. After 4 years of ministry in Ashland, KY, God led me to Outlook where I love investing in our families. As kids are sponges for information, I take great joy in filling them up with Bible truth and God's love.

  • Brandon Downs

    Communications Director

Teacher of Photoshop. Lover of Chick-fil-a and Lord of the Rings.

  • bev fudge

    worship arts ministry assistant

I’m a farm girl from Chalmers, IN, who thrives on variety! I am wife to Scott and mom to Megan and Tyler. I earned a BA degree in Mass Communication from Purdue, own a floral business (A Basket of Flowers), and help manage our family farm. In addition, Scott says I’m a “professional volunteer” since much of my spare time is devoted to serving others through church, school (LCHS), community, and kids’ activities.

After more than 35 years of serving in worship at the churches I’ve attended, my volunteer role at Oaklandon evolved into a part-time staff position at Outlook where I enjoy working behind-the-scenes to assist Josh. The highlight of my week is coming to church on Sunday morning and seeing all the pieces of the worship service come together to create an atmosphere where God is glorified!

Even though I attend a different church, the people here at Outlook have always made me feel like part of their church family. God is truly amazing!

  • sandy johnson

I love working at OCCPS because I love ministering to young children and their families. It is such a blessing to plant the seeds of the gospel in their fertile little hearts! And then, see them grow in God’s love with each passing year they are with us.

I have been married to my wonderful wife, Carol, for 27 years and have two beautiful daughters, Lindsey and Kailey, and one grandson, Clayton.

I married my high school sweetheart, Aaron. We have three wonderful children: Autumn, Brooks, and Conner! I spend my time caring for and teaching our children at home, design invitations, and have free-lance projects.

I'm incredibly excited to be on this journey in joining the Outlook staff. It's a great blessing to serve along side my brothers and sisters in Christ!

  • wendy mayo

    NextGen children's ministry assistant

My passion for little ones started as a young child. I first started volunteering in a church nursery when I was in 8th grade. I received my BS in Elementary Education from Indiana State University. I taught for several years, but after I married my husband, Adam, God changed my role from teacher to mom. It's such a blessing to be able to stay home with our three kids, Adison, Keagan, and Camden.

In 2010, I was asked to help coordinate the nursery. I love teaching the babies about Jesus and seeing their happy faces as they "pat the Bible". The opportunity to serve the littlest Outlookers is definitely one of the highlights of my week.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, being crafty, and caravanning the kids between all their activities. I look forward to this journey God has called me to be on and am excited to be serving with our Outlook family.

  • carli mellentine

    connection ministry assistant

I was born in Detroit and have lived all across Michigan. I am beyond blessed with a wonderful husband and 5 great boys. After moving quite a few times, we followed God's lead and moved to Indiana in 2008.

A college professor once told me, "If you love your job, you'll never work a day in your life." Ministry is that for me. I love it and feel extremely blessed to be working at Outlook. God has used my life experiences to form me into who I am today. I love helping people get connected and feeling comfortable in our church family. I also love working with our High School youth group as a youth sponsor.

Whenever I have free time, I love to read or spend time with friends. I also love going "home" to Michigan with my family to hang out on the beach!

  • mike miner

    youth sports outreach director

Being born and raised in central Indiana, it seemed natural to attend Purdue University and then move to Indy to be close to family after graduation. That's where I met my wife Cindy and started our family with three loving little girls, Mackenzie, Natalie and Marissa. We came to Outlook in 2004, then Oaklandon Christian Church, because of the people and God's Word where I got involved with the sports leagues right away.

It's been a joy serving ever since and I am honored to be part of a team that has been helping kids in our communities play sports and learn about Jesus for over 15 years.

  • janna mitchell

    nextgen ministry assistant

I was blessed to grow up in a home with parents who were strong in their faith and thereby fastidious to the spiritual training and development of their children. From the tender age of 7, when I whole-heartedly accepted the Lord as my Savior and professed my belief through baptism, I have been sincerely devoted to following Jesus.

I can honestly tell you that I never envisioned the path He had laid out for me to include homeschooling 3 children and now, to additionally be serving part time as the NextGen Ministry Assistant! However, the peace that comes from following His leading, and the many, many gifts that he bestows for that decision, are never in vain. It's with that understanding that I joyfully look forward to this endeavor, continuing to run this race set before me.

Born and raised here on the east side of Indianapolis, my wife, Kathleen, and I were baptized together in 1997. Since that time it has been an honor and privilege for us to be part of a congregation that is so motivated in their love for Jesus. Growing both as a church and individually has been quite a journey!

We have two daughters and two grandchildren. We are part of a wonderful life group and serve in different ministries at Outlook. I manage a restaurant and catering business and am currently earning my Master of Arts in Ministry.

I am excited to see where God leads us in the future as we reach out to others in our community and am humbled to partner with believers at Outlook as we seek to bring glory to God and His son, Jesus.

I also had the honor of being the Executive Director of the capital campaign while at the Oaklandon building, working with countless volunteers to raise awareness and support, in the form of prayer and sacrificial giving to make the construction of our Outlook campus a reality.

I’m most passionate about how the body of Christ at Outlook works so selflessly to welcome seekers in to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. I’m honored to work with a gifted staff of energetic, committed Christ followers.

I have been married to Jayme since 1988 and we have two children, Justin and Katelyn.  We have been members of Outlook since 2009. Jayme is part of the worship team and we are co-leaders of Outlook’s young adult ministry.

My time spent in Papua New Guinea with my missionary parents is an important part of my heritage. My work as a partner in a Greenfield law firm provides me with meaningful opportunities to minister to people.  I also enjoy reading, photography, woodworking, and working with stained glass.

I am an Indiana native and love our varied and surprising seasons.  In a spiritual sense, I love the varied and surprising seasons of life as well.  I am passionate in the pursuit of knowing and serving Christ and making Him known to others.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Jeff, for 41 years.  We were baptized together at East 38th Street Christian Church in 1974 and have served there as well as Community Christian Church.  We have been members at Outlook since 1999.  We have been privileged to serve in many capacities at Outlook and count it an honor to continue to do so.

  • Ian Kille

After relocating to Indiana from Tennessee, my family and I have felt right at home at Outlook since the first Sunday we attended.  I have been married for 23 years to my wife, Merideth.  We have a beautiful daughter, Morgan, who is a student at Mount Vernon Middle School.  We have been members of Outlook since 2008.

I have had the privilege of serving as the ministry leader of Celebrate Recovery, along with my wife, since 2009.  I’m not just a leader; I am an active participant as well.  I also serve in the children’s ministry and on the men’s retreat team.

In Celebrate Recovery I have learned that I do not have to go through life’s struggles alone. It is my desire to make sure that our church and community knows that they have a safe place to come when they are going through life’s struggles and can find healing through a relationship with Jesus and His people. It has been a privilege serving at Outlook and I look forward to what God has in store for me next.

My wife, Robin, and I have been a part of Outlook since 1991. We have three children. Our son, Max, lives in Portland with his wife, Heidi, and daughter, Sophia. Our son, James, and daughter, Sarah, live in Indy.

I’ve served as an adult Sunday class teacher at the former campus, helped with VBS, and enjoyed getting to know lots of Outlookers while serving as director of the Onward campaign. Robin was a youth sponsor in the student ministry, has helped plan and lead women’s retreats, and has a big heart for prayer.  One of our fondest memories is of taking the high school group to CIY in Carbondale, IL.  It was fun to share the experience as a couple and to spend a week with a bunch of energetic teenagers.

I was born in Kenya and came to the US in 1991 on a college track scholarship. After graduating from the University of Louisiana, I moved to Indianapolis where I met my wife. We have been married for 22 years and are blessed with two beautiful children, Lily and Isaiah.

The first time I visited this church, I was met by Dan, our previous senior minister. He told me "it did not matter where I came from, but what matters is where I am going." This was truly a welcoming message, and I have never looked back. I have been a member of Outlook since 2004.

I have served in worship arts ministry, led several short-term mission trips to Nairobi, Kenya, and am currently serving as a middle school sponsor in student ministry. In my free time, I enjoy running, watching movies, and spending time with my family. I am excited about our church's mission and I know God is not done with us yet.
