Elementary Class Lead

Two times per month | Sunday Mornings
Elementary Class Lead: Help kids experience Jesus through worship, prayer, and Bible stories. Class leads focus on building relationships with kids and guiding them through discussion and activities that build on each Sunday’s Big Idea

Middle School Bible Study

Two times per month | Sunday Mornings
Spend time with middle school students in a small-group format, facilitating discussion and reflection on weekly lessons. Bible Study is during first service on Sunday morning.

Audio/Graphics

One or Two times per month | Sunday mornings and some Wednesday evenings
Serve by supporting the worship team and speakers to mix and monitor audio, or run ProPresenter, creating an engaging worship experience on campus and online. Training provided.

Small Group Leader

Weekly | Varies
Cultivate a healthy community of spiritual growth by facilitating group meetings and shepherding members.

High School Boys Sponsor

Weekly | Sunday Evenings
Establish and maintain healthy, personal relationships with students of a particular grade in a small group setting, challenging them to become active Kingdom Workers among their peers and to the ends of the earth. Groups meet on Sunday evenings.

Serve on a Team

You have a place and a purpose to make our church family all it can be. Check out our teams below and let us know how we can help you find your fit!

 
 

Care

Care Group Co-Leader: Facilitate curriculum-based ministries of compassion. Use your experiences to walk with others through a specific difficult season of life.

Friendship Group: Be a friend to adults with intellectual disabilities! Grant needed respite to families by helping to provide a loving and safe environment for friends during weekly group meetings and special outings, either up front or behind the scenes.

Homebound Pastoral Care: Cultivate community for our homebound members by forming intentional relationships, making visits, and caring for each person’s individual needs.

Maintenance Care: Use your skills to serve the home maintenance and repair needs of our widowed and homebound members. Aid in routine maintenance and/or seasonal service projects as needed. Click here to volunteer.

Hospitality

Café Team: Create a hospitable atmosphere by interacting with people as they brew and serve coffee throughout Sunday morning. 

On-Campus Welcome: Welcome guests and attendees alike in a variety of roles throughout the building on Sunday morning.

Online Service Host: Serve as a warm presence and facilitates purposeful engagement and prayer with our virtual live stream audience during worship.

Neighborhood Team: Deliver gift bags to the porches of our new neighbors throughout McCordsville.

 

NextGen Kids

Nursery (under 3 years): Lovingly care for the physical needs of children. Each week, they spend time recognizing the Bible as God’s special book, praying, listening to worship music, and reading a Bible story. 

Early Childhood (3 years – kindergarten): Help kids experience Jesus through energetic worship and fun Bible activities. Large group teachers lead kids in worship and teach the Bible story to kids at their level. Class leads and assistants build relationships with kids and guide activities that build on the Bible story. 

Elementary (grades 1-5): Up in the Kid Zone, our team members build relationships with kids, model worship for kids, and teach truth to kids. Large group teachers guide kids in worship, introduce Bible truths, and teach Bible stories, while class leads and assistants guide kids in discussion and activities to help them grow.

Check-In and Security Host: Help make Sunday morning a positive and smooth experience for families by guiding them through check-in and providing a friendly and secure adult presence at the door.

NextGen Students

Middle School Sponsor: Establish healthy personal relationships with students of a particular grade in a small group setting, and help them grow as members of the Church. Groups meet on Sunday evenings.

High School Sponsor: Establish and maintain healthy, personal relationships with students of a particular grade in a small group setting, challenging them to become active Kingdom Workers among their peers and to the ends of the earth. Groups meet on Sunday evenings.

 

Worship Band and Vocals

Worship Band: Serve by leading our church in worship during weekend services two times a month. Positions include drummers, guitarists, keyboardists, bassists, violinists, etc.

Worship Vocals: Serve by leading our church in worship during weekend services two times a month. Vocalists are asked to sing both lead melodies and backing harmonies.

Worship Tech and Production

Audio Tech: Serve by supporting the worship team and speakers by creating an engaging worship experience.

Video Tech: Serve by video directing, video switching, or lyric/media support to create an engaging worship experience.

Lighting Tech: Serve by executing lighting programming that enhances the worship experience.

Baptism Assistant: Take a hands-on role in someone's "yes" to Jesus! Meet the person and tangibly assist with behind-the-scenes needs.

Event Photographer: Help us capture candid images of church family life, including Sunday morning services, baptisms, Child Dedication, and special events throughout the year.

Youth Sports

Coach/Assistant Coach: Serve by conducting midweek practices and coaching on game days.

Game Day Helper: Serve in a variety of capacities on game days by helping with set-up, score and timekeeping, devotions table assistant, or concessions.
